WWE Entrance Tunes... or just Tunes?

Hey guys,

This post is off my usual stuff but it's about music and it's something I enjoy so I'm going to do it anyway! WWE is well renowned for their storylines, characters and sometimes the fighting. However, something that I love the amazing entrance music that the wrestlers have at the moment and even some of the old ones.

WWE have done amazing with matching an artist to a superstar and getting their music perfect for the character and their entrance, but I mean this isn't true for every star as their are some themes which don't really pull me in. But there are some that are so amazing that I have them in a Spotify playlist just to get me ready for a long day of lectures. So I though about sharing some of them with you:

Edge - Metalingus - Alter Bridge
This is probably my favourite tracks and I know that Alter Bridge has released it as one of their own singles. Metalingus really gets me ready for a day because of it's really heavy drum intro and the really amazing lyrics that are actually pretty meaningful. I think it was a perfect song for the Rated R Superstar Edge and made his entrances a massive spectacle every single time he made his way to the ring. On spotify I only have the original but I'd love them to release the WWE version with the 'You Think You Know Me' but the song and band are amazing anyway.

The Miz - I Came to Play
The Miz is one of my favourite wrestlers and one of the best WWE heel's! One of the top heel's needed a top entrance song and I Came to Play is that one song that I always look forward to hearing every Tuesday night on Smackdown. It's high energy, high speed and high impact! The fact that this song also let's me channel my inner rapper gives it brownie points because I love transitioning from the rap to the song like the *cough cough* artists that I am. If any of you haven't seen The Miz lipsyncing his theme, go and check it out (I'll link it below) because it shows how perfect the song is for the A- Lister.

AJ Lee - Let's Light it Up
This song is completely different to Edge's music but it was perfect for lil' AJ Lee's entrances. It's very sweet and catchy pop which worked really well when she was skipping down to the ring with that cheeky grin. As a song itself, it's really easy to listen to and something that you can't help but dance around too or sing at full volume. It might not be the most powerful or impactful theme of a female superstar but it had AJ written all over it and I'm glad she got it.

Tyler Breeze - #MMMGorgeous
Many people will laugh at this choice but I literally love listening to this song. It's one of the only theme's that is actually sang by the Superstar themselves and if it was going to be anyone in the PG era, it had to be Prince Pretty Tyler. Even though he is massively underused in the main roster, Tyler is one of my favourite superstars and I love that WWE let him control his theme which is damn ass catchy. I mean I doubt there is any fan who hasn't had this theme in their head at least once during a match. It's self obsessive, simple and dynamic just like Tyler Breeze's character and I can't help but do Tyler's face when I sing along.

Carmella - Fabulous
This song is another one that a lot of people with either disregard or completely slate me for loving but it's one of those songs that could actually be released. It epitomises Carmella's character and, love or hate her, you have to say that she has the charisma to pull of this song everytime she moonwalks into the arena. It's catchy, upbeat and so sassy that I always feel slightly more #fabulous every time I hear it. I also think that I've listened to it so many times that even my family know the tune! Whether Carmella is face or heel, it will always define her character.

I know these are all quite modern entrance themes but they're the ones that I was used to watching because I started watching wrestling at a later age. I want to also give special mention to Dolph Ziggler's Here to Show the World, Bobby Roode's Glorious Domination and Naomi's Amazing which are also amazing tracks!

I hope that the new up and coming superstars also get to have amazing songs to walk onto and I can't wait to see some of these at the next Wrestlemania *especially Naomi's*

Bye for Now
xx
