Beside The Bridge: All in or Nothing

Hi Guys,

Beside The Bridge are a band that I've followed for a long time and I've written about quite a few times since this blog started. After the success of I Hate My Life and What's Been Done, I have been so excited to see what the band were going to do next. The videos released in the run up were really quite emotional and explanatory, I think it really helped fans connect with the point of the song and help them figure out how to relate to the song.

We all know a time where we try to do something we love but we can't do anything to pursue it so it stops being enjoyable. I think it was really honest but also something that has probably happened to a lot of people in the music industry because of it being so cut throat and hard to break. It hurts to hear the pains and struggles the boys went through but, as we know, it was all worth it because they are really getting somewhere with their fans and their music.

The song All in or Nothing is a real, gritty tune that holds emotion and pain within the words and the melody. It's one of those songs that really drags you in and I can really feel like, if I was feeling angry at the world, I could blare it as loud as I wanted and sing at the top of the voice. It's got a very different feel than some of the other stuff the band has released but it shows progression and diversity because it sounds so different yet holds the same BTB essence we all love! It has essence of rock but is mixed with some techno and quite modern music techniques.

The vocals from Joel are once again flawless and they are complemented so well by the accompanying instruments. It's so hard to get the right balance between instruments and vocals but this band always seems to hit the nail on the head. It's a track that would be great for hardcore BTB fans but would also do really well in mainstream music and radio because it's a perfect blend of popular genres and is so easy to listen too.

It makes me excited to hear what's coming up for the band and what they can achieve hopefully worldwide. I know their fan base is always growing and I hope that they can come to the UK at some point because I've waited a long time :)

That's it for this week,
Bye for Now
xx
